In Collaboration

My good friend and woodblock artist, Hannah Barron Spencer, and I have spent many afternoons roaming the mountains, talking about art, cheering each other’s accomplishments, and dreaming up new goals and projects for ourselves. In 2021 we challenged ourselves to make a piece of art together with a goal of spreading joy and inspired by the wonders of nature. Now, we can’t stop!

Since our first watercolor class together in 2010 we have each found our individual styles. Hannah uses the dark bold lines of block printing and contrasts it with bright vibrant colors that make her work sing. Her prints are the perfect compliment to my troupe of joyful woodland characters painted in a style uniquely mine. Together we design, cut, and arrange all the tiny pieces to create a final 3-D piece that is a celebration of the rhythm of life, friendship, and the value of teamwork.

Our work is available through ourselves and through Cassens Fine Art in Hamilton, MT. We gladly accept commissions and would love to see our work in hospitals, schools, or other public places. Contact us to inquire further.
